HerScoop: Tell us about teaming up with the National Mango Board. Why did you get involved? Are you a huge mango lover?
CK: “I do love mangos. Mangos are an exotic twist on the traditional and super versatile. Mangos are great at breakfast with yogurt, at lunch with a BLT- toss in some mango – and at dinner try it grilled or in a salsa with some chicken. Mangos are great in savory as well as sweet dishes plus they add a pop to your favorite cocktail. Mango margaritas – yum! Throw some into your favorite margarita recipe.
I also love that mangos are part of the clean 15, a list of foods with low or no levels of pesticides.”
HerScoop: Please guide us on how to properly cut a mango. Is it best to peel it first?
CK: “This is a great trick — it changed my life. You don’t have to peel it! Just slice off the sides of the fruit, avoiding the large seed in the center. Once you have these two sides, you can get to the flesh and slice or dice into the flesh. Don’t cut through the skin. Then, simply scoop it out of the skin.

HerScoop: We are so sad that What Not to Wear is coming to an end. How will the epic series end? Will it be hard to say goodbye?
CK: “We’re doing a big blowout reunion show in Las Vegas. It’s been ten years — I’m ready to say goodbye. I don’t think I can listen to myself say one more time, ‘Choose a dark wash jean.’”
HerScoop: Did you ever imagine What Not to Wear would be such a huge hit? Why do you think it hit a chord with so many of us?
CK: “No, I thought I would be back to my job in magazine publishing after the first season! I think it was such a hit because so many women need to hear that they deserve to be beautiful.”
