Grammy Award-winning singer Pink brought the circus to town — and a whole lot of talent!
The Raise Your Glass singer, 34, brought her circus-themed The Truth About Love tour to Vancouver, B.C. on October 21. The over-the-top show combined music, dancing, aerial routines and even a full-arena flight by the athletic star.
With powerhouse vocals, rock-hard abs and fearless acrobatics, the singer-songwriter blew us one last kiss – and not to mention our minds – as she brought the house down with some of her best hit songs.
Amid various wardrobe changes, Pink belted out all of my favorites (including Who Knew, Just Like a Pill and her new power ballad Just Give Me a Reason), with confident and sexy dance moves, oodles of gravity-defying acrobatics, and tons of that feisty personality we all love.
All eyes were glued on the pop superstar during her hit song, Sober, while she sung, hung, and flung off a floating ball.
Was it a Cirque du Soleil show or truly the best rock concert ever?
Every step of the way, Pink had the crowd engaged, saying things like, “I can’t believe it’s been 11 years since I was here,” and inviting us to dance along, sing her famous lyrics, and experience our own ‘truth about love.’
She gushed about motherhood and her 2-year-old daughter Willow. “Motherhood is definitely my favorite thing in the world,” she told fans. She even shared some of her toddler’s favorite sayings: “Are you happy today mama?” is, apparently, something her tot asks her at least once a day. And not to mention, the fun video showcasing her adorable baby girl in a behind-the-scenes look of their life on the road.
And she gives ‘a big finish’ a whole new meaning!
The pop star literally flew across the arena in her final number. Yes, while strapped to wires, she sung, “So what, I’m still a rockstar…I’m gonna show you tonight,” while flying upside down and all around the sold-out arena. So, just to summarize, not only did she actually fly across the arena, she kept singing.
Take that lip-synching pop starlets!
The Truth About Love shows Pink at her best. Her athletic abilities, strong vocals and fierce personality were represented in a big way last night. I left the arena completely blown away by the show, her lyrics, and her notable confidence. Here’s a woman that is truly living her life’s purpose — and loving every minute of it. We could all learn a lesson or two from this highly talented and outwardly confident woman.
Born to the name Alecia Beth Moore in 1979, Pink has sold 110 million records worldwide. Billboard magazine named her the No. 1 artist of the decade in 2009, and VH1 ranked her at No. 10 on its list of the “100 Greatest Women in Music.”
