What is one thing that every baby goes through? Here’s a hint: some babies experience great pain and some babies seem to have no issues at except maybe a little extra drool.
That’s right, teething.
Every baby that I’ve known or seen loves to put things in their mouths. It’s their way of learning about the world around them and it also probably feels pretty good on their gums.
Are you the mom that wears jewelry that your baby loves to grab and munch on? What if there was a stylish way to soothe your baby’s teething needs/pains while making sure what baby puts in his/her mouth is safe to chew on?
No need to look any further. Chewbeads are for you!
Chewbeads are safe, non-toxic jewelry that is stylish and chic – made just for mom and baby.
In the past few weeks, I have had the pleasure to wear the Chewbeads Perry necklace and the Stanton bracelet while my baby was able to check out the Mulberry teether.
I’ve been pretty lucky so far as my daughter has pretty much sailed through the teething phase with no real issues. She is starting to drool a little more now that her back teeth are working their way out, but that’s about it. Having had a relatively easy time with teething, I thought I’d try out the Perry necklace first. I liked the look of the necklace as it had some design to it with the larger oval shaped pieces and regular circular balls. When I was wearing the necklace, my daughter seemed to grab for the bigger pieces and stare at them for a while… I could tell her little brain was working trying to figure out what the shapes were. She’d chew on the beads for a few seconds but found it more interesting to try to get me to chew the necklace.
I remember back when I was nursing her, she loved to play with my shirt or necklace, basically anything within her reach. I will most definitely be wearing my Perry necklace when baby #2 arrives in a few months.
The Stanton bracelet is another nice accessory piece for moms. It’s something that I can wear out and if my daughter is looking for something to occupy her time, I can just take it off for a few minutes and she has an instant play thing/chew toy.
For nursing moms, the bracelet is a handy tool to remember which side you last nursed on. I know I could have used this a few months back when I was nursing…I used to write everything down so I wouldn’t forget, but now I won’t have to for #2. Yay!
My daughter’s favorite Chewbeads item is the Mulberry Teether. She munches away on it, shakes it around, throws it, you name it – she does it! For me, I like it because it’s small enough that I can take it with us when we go out, yet it’s large enough that I won’t lose it in the diaper bag.
Created in 2009. Beads are made with 100% silicone (similar to pacifiers & nipples) and are soft on babies gums and emerging teeth. Chewbeads are easily cleaned with dish soap & water, also dishwasher safe! No BPA, PVC, Phthalates, Cadmium, or Lead. The necklaces have a breakaway clasp for added safety and are a great sensory tool to help your baby focus while nursing. The bracelets are a colorful reminder of which side you’ve just nursed.
