Looking for a stroller that is simple to use, light-weight and takes up little space?
Baby Jogger’s City Lite may be just what you’re looking for!
As you may know, I’m a big fan of Baby Jogger’s City Select double stroller and their light-weight umbrella stroller Vue. And after using the newly released summer stroller – City Lite – for the past month, I have to say that I love Baby Jogger!
Now that I have an almost 2-year old and an 8-month old baby, I haven’t needed a double stroller that often. Either I let my toddler walk/run and push my youngest, or I restrain my first-born and carry my second-born in the baby carrier.
What I like most about the City Lite is how light-weight it is. Weighing only 16 pounds, I can easily carry it in one hand along with a few bags of groceries. The frame is sturdy, and yet it doesn’t take up a lot of space in my vehicle or my home. The dimensions of the City Lite folded is 30” x 11” x 23”. Heck, my 23-month old daughter can even push it down the sidewalk with ease. Not bad for an everyday stroller!
The Baby Jogger City Lite is simple to use as you just click the red button and voila, it swings open and I know it’s ready to go when I hear a ‘click.’ I always make sure that my littles aren’t near me when I unfold the stroller – I almost hit one of them with the stroller when I first got it. Oops! It opens quickly, so I’ve learned my lesson and no one got hurt! When folding up the stroller to store, the one-handed fold is handy – and once again, I make sure my babes aren’t close by!
The canopy on the City Lite is a great size and can open in multiple positions. It’s large enough to cover most of my baby’s face and torso on those sunny days. I love that the canopy has a window – actually two peekaboo windows. Boy, do I love it when I peek in and she’s sleeping!
If my child is awake and alert, she’s obviously sitting up, and for nap time the City Lite reclines to an almost flat position. I really like that there is a weather flap near the back of the seat that can be rolled up allowing some air to flow near my babe’s head.
The cargo basket on this three-wheeled stroller is a fair size – not as big as the Baby Jogger City Select, but not as small as the Vue. It’s perfect for a quick trip into the store or mall. It doesn’t come with a drink holder, but I just attached my Parent Console and away we go!
The Baby Jogger City Lite is a simple – not to mention inexpensive – stroller that packs a big punch. If you’re looking for a stroller that’s light-weight and a cinch to use, be sure to check it out!
